Getting to know Chelsea . . . .

Why did you decide to become a recruiter?
I felt that it would be an awesome opportunity to help different nurses experience new journeys and new opportunities. Travel nursing is such an amazing opportunity, you get to see different states in the United States!

If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?
South Asia for sure, I would love to see India, the culture and colors fascinate me!

What are some of your favorite books? or Movies?
My favorite books would for sure be The Bible, It’s a book I can open and learn something new every time I read it. It applies to every facet of my life! I also really like pride and prejudice, it’s the best love story!!

My favorite movie is Crash. I love how every character in the movie interacts with each other in some way. It puts a lot of perspective of how some people that we pass everyday can play some part in our lives.

What is the best thing about being a recruiter?
The best thing about being a recruiter is talking to so many different people every day, it’s so exciting to learn about different people’s needs and wants in life. I love building relationships with my nurses!

If you were going to write a book, what would you call it and what would it be about?
If I were going to write a book, I think I would write about growing up in South Carolina. It was never a dull moment!! I wouldn’t have traded it for anything! I would call it Raised in the Cotton.

Who are some people you’d like to meet someday?
I would have really liked to meet Ronald Reagan and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, both of their lives intrigued me! They were both such large role models. It would have been an honor to meet them.

What embarrasses you?
Not knowing the answer to a question when asked.

Any advice for new or experienced travelers?
Experience travel, true travel, contracts in nursing are so short in reality, go and see different parts of the United States! Go hike in Idaho, or climb the Colorado Rockies, or stand in the rain in Seattle, or soak up the sand in Wrightsville beach, or see the Northern lights in Alaska,! There are so many opportunities that our Nation has to offer!! Experience them!
