Nurses Week Celebration: Cynthia Staton

Nurses Week Celebration Cynthia Staton To celebrate Nurses Week we are profiling extraordinary nurses who travel with Trinity. We asked each of them to tell us a little bit about themselves and their travel careers.

Cynthia Staton is a first time traveler who specializes in Medical Surgery and Telemetry, and is loving her assignment at Spartanburg Regional. She is now on her third extension at the same facility. According to her colleagues, she is a pleasure to work with and always has a great attitude.

Cynthia recently shared a fun story for our check-in Tuesday contest on Facebook about bringing a patient’s dog into a facility she one worked in, in order to cheer the man up. Her plan worked terrifically and both owner and pet were ecstatic to be reunited. Being a dog lover herself, Cynthia said she knew it was a no brainer and had to be done.

As an active member of our online community, Cynthia often engages with other RNs on our Facebook page. Her friendly personality and dedication to going above and beyond for her patients is easily recognized and celebrated by Trinity staff.

Her recruiter Shannon Mau tells us, “When I first spoke with Cynthia, she expressed that she was new to traveling and looking for something in Upstate South Carolina. Spartanburg Regional has an excellent reputation amongst travelers and I knew it would be a great fit. She has done very well and now is coming up on her third extension at the facility.”
