Why Trinity Supports Military Spouses and Families

Honoring Veterans “The sacrifices made by veterans and their willingness to fight in defense of our nation merit our deep respect and praise – and the best in benefits and medical care.” – Sue Kelly, former congresswoman

At Trinity Healthcare Staffing Group, we believe that veterans and military families deserve to be treated with the same high regard they had while serving our country and fighting for our nation’s freedom with. This means giving them the opportunity to provide for their families, to pursue a new life and profession, and ultimately follow their dreams. This is why we proudly hire veterans and military spouses at Trinity, both as recruiters and nurses.

It is this kind of commitment to excellence that is found in every member of Team Trinity, especially those who have previously served in the military. Veterans and individuals from military families have excellent work ethic, dependability, are highly skilled, and adaptable to new situations. We know this incredibly well as some of our current nurses have also served our country. This includes a retired officer of 20 years from the US Air Force, an active member of the WI Army National Guard, a US Army veteran of 10 years, strong and proud Military Dependents, and many more. We value each one of these nurses for who they are now and honor where they’ve come from.

Beyond the nurses on our team, we also have a strong team of veterans and military spouses in our corporate team. Trinity recruiter and veteran Ron York has been with our team since the first days of Trinity. Among his nurses, he has a legendary reputation for his fantastic track record of being reliable and genuinely caring. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for 12 years in various duties around the world, Ron has utilized his skills for serving others with integrity and dedication. We are so proud and happy to have him as a loyal member of our team.

Although not a nurse himself, Ron’s extensive knowledge of the industry has helped him become recognized as Recruiter of the Year in Healthcare Traveler magazine for 2009, 2010, and 2013. Travel nurse Courtney Wohlgemuth from Rockaway, New Jersey attests that Ron “has gone above and beyond making sure I am safe and happy. My assignments have been wonderful, as are all the people I am meeting.”

At Trinity, we understand that the healthcare industry is fast-paced and travel nursing offers any unique opportunities across the country for those in the healthcare field. Our client hospitals love working with veterans and military spouses, and at Trinity we are pleased to be able to fill RN positions nationwide with our country’s finest men and women.

In addition to actively recruiting veterans, Trinity has partnered with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) to better support our travelers. Partnering with the Department of Defense (DoD), MSEP connects military spouses with more than 200 employers across various industries who have committed to recruit, hire, promote, and retain this unique and talented group of professionals.

If you’re a veteran looking to join our team as a recruiter or as a travel nurse, trust Trinity to provide you with the same dedication you’ve provided our country. We have many job opportunities across the nation, and we’d be happy to help find the perfect assignment for you.
